The Guardian’s End of the Year Guide
It initially plays on the perceived naivety of Feldman and his cringe-inducing lack of awareness, but when the fun stops and the paranoia starts, it reveals his true character. Quite the ride.

Corey Feldman vs. the World is one of the most thoughtfully made documentaries I’ve seen in decades. The filmmakers’ restraint and impartiality were exactly what the subject demanded, and the result is both humane and quietly devastating. As someone who’s followed Corey Feldman since childhood, I found myself (as I always do) rooting for him. Truly masterful work.

I say this with absolutely no hyperbole, Corey Feldman Vs The World is an absolute masterpiece. It’s one of the best films I’ve seen in the last 20 years. Every scene is hysterical and fascinating at the same time. There isn’t a single dull moment to be had.

Corey Feldman Vs The World is an astonishing documentary. Up there with Overnight as an in depth portrait of a certain type of personality... It's extraordinarily funny and profoundly dark, and very, very worth your time.
Actor / Comedian
This is a must-see. Marcie Hume balances so many different tones… a documentary that isn’t in any way black-and-white, but way more complex than you can imagine.

Equal parts entertaining and damning of Corey’s quest to control his world and the Angels in it. Incredible access and a truly balanced portrait of a troubled child star unraveling. Would love to see Corey embrace this but the cease and desist he already issued on the film is prob a sign he isn’t ready to face himself. A must watch!

I hate the typical celebrity documentary. What you've done here is to craft a nuanced piece, which allows the viewer to draw their own conclusions.
It's rare to see a celebrity documentary - or really any documentary - that feels both finely crafted and emotionally raw. And, of course, Corey is an amazing subject - so terrible in many ways, but sympathetic in others. I appreciated the subtle humor and the frank interviews like with the crying fans and the kvetching, swearing bus driver!

Incredible documentary - I was thoroughly entertained and would happily watch many hours of this sort of thing. While the footage occasionally hits the train wreck sleaze-watch fascination of The Two Coreys, it’s also profound in its observations of complex power relations and cyclical abuse, with too many amazing cinematic moments to enumerate.
